Should Non-Consensual Male Circumcision Be Banned if There's No Immediate Medical Necessity?

There are no other non-medically-necessary child aputative surgeries allowed on the grounds of the parents right to decide. Why isn’t this barbaric hacking of one’s genitals not considered a human rights travesty?

FGC Type IV Pricking is a type of illegal female circumsision in the US, and it consists of pricking the clitoris with a needle to draw a single drop of blood. It does not remove any tissue or nerve endings.

Male circumcision removes what will become 10-20 square inches of highly erogenous tissue. that contains 20,000 specialized nerve endings, vitually all the fine-touch nerve receptors of the penis, the most sensitive part of the penis, and removes the entire gliding mechanism of the penis.

Some people argue that it reduced penile cancer, which is less common than MALE breast cancer. And more people die during circumcision than from penile cancer. It also does not reduce the chance of getting AIDS. Look up the stats. About 50% of Americans get circumcised as compared to 10% of Europeans, but the AIDS/ HIV rate in America is anywhere from 3 – 12 times higher than Europe.

It absolutely should be illegal. Children are not the property of their parents. A boy’s penis belongs to him, not his parents. We’re not talking about getting sprinkled with water, or some other harmless ritual. We’re talking about genital mutilation. Surgical removal of a body part. It should be up to a male, when he reaches legal majority, to decide whether he wants to keep his foreskin.

"Based on a review of medical and psychological literature and our own research and experience, we conclude that circumcision causes serious, generally unrecognized harm and is not advisable."

"… D.O.C. [Doctors Opposing Circumcision] is an organization of physicians, and others who are opposed to non-therapeutic neonatal circumcision. D.O.C. has members in 50 States, 12 Canadian Provinces and Territories, and in nations on six continents. These doctors recognize that no one has the right to forcibly remove sexual body parts from another individual. They also believe that doctors should have no role in this painful, unnecessary procedure inflicted on the newborn."

    I think it should.

  3. That-Kid says:

No. It is cleaner circumcised and healthier. It doesn’t cause any disease.

No doctor would give a baby liposuction or a botox injection, but because it’s for religious reasons they have no problem slicing off part of the penis.

Whomever changes the diapers, wipes the butts and does the potty training should decide.

We make all kinds of decisions for our children. They are our children.

Yes, I know, you think the only right we should have is to kill them in the womb.

and this really matters to you why?

  7. Eric says:

Yes, I believe that parents should wait until there child is able to decide for themselves whether they want to be circumcised or not. It’s their body, and they should be able to decide what happens to it.

  9. Pony Slaystation says:

The sick thing is that many times in secular USA it is not done religious reasons but for cosmetical reasons fueled by the bs warstories and scared moms. "It looks better" is almost always mentioned as one of the reasons for mutilating babies.

  10. *ajidamoon* the Eh team says:

Yes, considering the majority of the medical community agrees it has no physical benefits, nor aids in cleanliness. Its an outdated religious practice that is considered unnecessary cosmetic surgery here in Canada, and you will have a hard time trying to find a doctor willing to perform one. Plus, I think the male should have a say.

Should be banned. The skin is there for a reason. Poor blokes losing all that feel good too.

  12. Archituethis dux says:

While it is true that the foreskin contains many nerve endings there is no medical proof that it decreases sexual enjoyment or anything else for that matter. You have to remember that the foreskin is not cut away, it is just folded back.

Also, the reason AIDS in the US is so much higher is due to our sexuality rates. We are more likely to have sex with random people than most other countries. We aren’t as serious about sex as many european countries are…. how-ever that doesn’t mean that circumsicion decreases the chances of getting AIDs. It also decreases the chances of getting other STD’s.

Male breast is not uncommon, you should know. 1 in 10 cases of breast cancer are for men, which is a higher number meaning that about 100,000 men in the US have breast cancer. So penile cancer isn’t extremely rare according to your studies….

I also should mention that circumcised men are less likely to get bacteria that causes infections, are less likely to spread STDs, and are less likely to endure swelling and tenderness.

Should non consensual birth be banned as well. How often have teenagers said . "I didn’t ask to be born" To be born is to die so aren’t parents acting unfairly in condemning their children to death without consulting them whether they wished to be born.

Lets face it at the moment of coitus which parent thinks about the child about to be born. Last thing on their mind .

Well if you believe some who post on here such as Mr Bunny Rabbit the Jewish people own all the banks, all of Hollywood and all of the media. . They definitely have 13% of the senate of USA whilst only being 1.4% of the population,. so circumcision doesn’t seem to have done them much harm.
