Is This Common C Section Procedure?

My Wife had our first born last week. Our little one didnt want to come out so they had to perform an emergency c section. They took her into a room then had me change into some scrubs then directed me to the operating room. When i came in my wife was strapped on the table completely naked and a male doctor was scrubbing her stomach & vaginal area with some kinda brown soap. To make things worse i counted at least 3 other males doctors in the room jus walking around doing who knows what, while my wife is laying there half concious and naked throughtout the entire surgery. When they drapped her they only covered her thighs and stomach, then they put up the blue sheet to block us out which ended at the top of her stomach. Is this commom procedure? I thought at least they would have covered her breast because they were exposed the WHOLE TIME and thats what concerns me mostly

You’ve asked this question several times and it’s very, very obviously some medical fetish S/M fantasy you have. There are numerous websites where you can fantasise about such things with like-minded people. This is not one of them.

No, people are not ‘strapped down’ for operations. No, they are not completely naked. No, random doctors are not wandering in and out, because they are carried out in a sterile environment and doctors would have to scrub up first. They don’t just pass through. No, your wife would not be half conscious. Caesareans are carried out under a local anaesthetic so that the woman can be conscious when the child is born and hold her baby straight away.

If the c-section was that much of an emergency, there wouldn’t have been time for them to find you a set of scrubs to wear to attend the birth, either.

If you want to have sick little i-watched-my-vulnerable-wife-humiliated-in-hospital fantasies, have them somewhere else.

I don’t believe you anymore. This is the THIRD time I have answered this question! AND you posted it even more times than that!…and under different names.

Hmmm. Not buying this either. If the situation was so dire your baby’s or wife’s life was in danger then they’d have knocked her out with a general and you wouldn’t have been present. As it doesn’t sound like that then they’d have covered her in a gown.

If it is true then why on earth didn’t you say anything.

And of course her bottom half was exposed….

I had a planned c section bcoz my son was in breech position… I only wore a gown going from front to back and also one back to front whilst in the waiting room… When it was time to go in my partner had to wait outside whilst i was given my spinal block i was asked to take off the back gown and left only the front one on… They asked my partner to come in once the spinal block and all cords were in place they put on the brown liquid which is an antiseptic making sure the skin is clean im pretty sure they only put it on where i was to be cut… They only touched my vagina to put in a catherther that drains my urine to a bag… After all this they then put up the blue curtains in front of us at about my chest… During the entire time i wore a gown and was not at all strapped to the bed… I had about 3 male drs in the room along with about 4 female nurses… I think if u have a concern u should contact the local healtg dept and ask for how the procedure is meant to be done…

    I’m afraid I don’t believe you.

In a real, mega emergency when they’d need to numb her fast and to heck with how alert she is, they wouldn’t have had time to undress her (or for you to put on scrubs). They’d have got the baby out of there long before you were in the OR and she’d have been completely unconscious.

In a less emergency situation the drugs they’d have given her might have made her a little happy, but certainly not "half conscious", and there would still be no reason for them to remove the top half of her clothes.

If she’d been nude in a birthing pool when things went wrong? Then they’d all have seen her nude already, so I’ve no idea what you are fussing about.

It didn’t happen. Go fantasise about something else – C-sections are nothing like that.

That does sound a little odd. I have had 2 elective c sections, and had one of those white gowns on for both of them. I also had an emergency c section, but was knocked out for that one so I have no idea what I was wearing!
If it is concerning you, maybe bring the issue up with someone at the hospital. The name of the dr who delivered your baby will be recorded in the babies health book.
